Floor renovation on the Laan van Meerdervoort

In a beautiful apartment on the Laan van Meerdervoort in The Hague we were allowed to carry out an extensive floor renovation. A beautiful project with many different activities-exactly what makes our parquet heart beat faster.

We started by sealing the convector wells and tiling the existing floor. By carefully toothing the floor, the difference between old and new is now completely invisible. The transitions to the front are also neatly finished with new thresholds.

After sanding, we milled the bevel seams again for a tight end result. In addition, we have provided two bedrooms with the same floor and made them seamlessly connect to the existing parts. Many boards lay loose and have been expertly replaced.

Finally, we have treated the entire floor with oil and painted twice for durable protection and a beautiful appearance.

We have been able to get our parketteurs heart here with the diversity of work and the people were therefore more than satisfied.

Depth and character-floor with brushed finish

With this assignment, the customer's wish was clear: they wanted more depth and relief in their floor. The wood structure had to really come to life, with an emphasis on the natural drawing of the wood.

We started by sanding the floor and milling the bevel seams for a tight base. Then we brushed the floor. Through this process, the softer wood parts are brushed out of the board, making the hard grain structure extra visible – this gives the floor a tactile texture and a robust appearance.

After brushing, we varnished the floor three times. In the photo, the floor is still wet, but once dry, it got the desired ultra matte look. A beautiful result in which the natural beauty of the wood is fully revealed.

Floor renovation after relocation-from disappointment to top floor

This floor is a good example of what we often see after a move. During the viewing, the floor still seems fine, but once empty, the damage really comes to light. This also applied to this house – the new residents were a bit disappointed with the condition of the floor after the purchase.

Fortunately, we were able to completely restore the floor. We replaced the damaged parts, carefully sanded the floor and checked the joints. After that, the floor is treated with oil and finished with two layers of varnish for a durable, fresh look.

A nice job with friendly customers-and with a floor that is like new again.
